About

Hello!

I'm the most qualified to write on the subject of child welfare because I've lived it.

Adjudicated a 'ward' of the court in-utero, I exited the broken foster-care system at 18 without promise of adoption. At 23, I graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science. I'm currently working on a Master's Degree in Legal Studies at the University of Washington in St. Louis as part of my ongoing education towards a Juris Doctorate.

I've spent the greater part of the last 17 years researching and advocating child welfare issues. I've worked for and volunteered for some of the most well known agencies in the nation, and now I'm returning to the platform with a determination to share my  experiences, research and data in an effort to promote awareness and affect change. I personally believe that while I've been fortunate to build accolades, I'm more fortunate to have survived the battles frequenting family law. My goal is to bring the attention where it matters most: congress.

I hope you'll join me in this movement!
